Foreword

This project is focused in understanding the nature of the gravitational interaction, and its relation with gauge theory and string theory. The bulk-boundary correspondence relates four-dimensional gauge theories to higher-dimensional string theories involving gravity. A realistic gauge theory description of four-dimensional gravity will be sought. On the way, various aspects of the gauge-theory/gravity correspondence will be investigated.
