Carles Milián received his PhD on theory and modelling of nonlinear fibre optics and nonlinear palsmonics from the Polytechnique University of Valencia (Spain), supervised by Albert Ferrando, in January 2012. In April 2012 he joined the CPPM at the University of Bath under the supervision of Prof. Dmitry V. Skryabin to study optical solitons in ring cavities. Since December 2012 he works at the CPHT, Ecole Polytechnique, under the supervision of Arnaud Couairon.

Research interests

His current research is focused on theory and modelling of filamentation and plasma formation by high intensity laser beams.
