Abstract : This thesis aims to perform a theoretical and numerical study of the properties of systems subjected to gauge fields and to develop protocols for an experimental realization of such systems, based on the application of time-dependent perturbations. Special interest is dedicated to the case of strongly interacting systems and the heating and decoherence effects due to the non-equilibrium dynamics.
