Thesis : Development of new diagrammatic algorithms for the many-body problem, applications to strongly correlated systems

Abstract : This PhD aims at developing new algorithms to theoretically study strongly correlated quantum systems. In these systems, interactions often lead to the appearance of striking physical properties that cannot be described by the standard one-body theory. To understand the origin of these phenomena, all particles have to be treated together with their interactions: one talks about the many-body problem. If modern analytics give a qualitative understanding of these systems, numerical approaches provide quantitative results for the physical properties.
