Research interests :

My main research interest is in non-perturbative aspects of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). I am especially interested in proposals aimed at an analytical description of the confinement/deconfinement transition of quarks and gluons.

I studied Physics at the University of Amsterdam, where I obtained my M.Sc. in 2016. In 2020, I obtained my PhD at the State University of Rio de Janeiro. During my PhD, I worked on the gauge-invariant description of Yang-Mills-Higgs models by means of gauge-invariant local composite operators, with a special focus on the spectral properties of these gauge-invariant operators.

I am currently working on a project in collaboration with dr. Urko Reinosa. This project entails the two-loop study of the deconfinement transition in the Gribov-Zwanziger (GZ) model at finite temperature, based in the so-called background field gauge (BFG) methods in the Landau-DeWitt gauge. BFG methods provide an efficient way to describe the confinement-deconfinement order parameter (the Polyakov loop or any of its proxies) because the related center symmetry is explicit at the quantum level and is easily maintained in approximation schemes. With the GZ model, we hope to get a perspective into confinement/de-confinement transition in the infrared regime and to compare our results with numerical results from lattice simulations. Several side projects have emerged from this project: one about the technicalities of calculating the sunset diagram for imaginary masses, and project on the formal treatment of the Cartan-Weyl color bases for SU(N) gauge models.

Non-perturbative QCD is a topic that is being investigated in a wide range of research fields. I am interested to make a connection to these fields and collaborate with physicists from different disciplines, such as AdS/CFT, lattice simulations or phenomenology.
