My research deals with topological superconductors strongly coupled to light in a photonic cavity. Interest in topological superconductivity lies in the emergence of edge states, robust against disorder and potentially beneficial in technological applications. By employing numerical simulations as well as effective models, I study the novel phenomena that arise from the strong hybridization between light and the edge states of a topological superconductor. Of particular interest is the possibility of measuring in quantum optics experiments electronic properties imprinted in the photonic field because of the strong light-matter hybridization.
