Research Interests
Superstring theory, Cosmology, Unification of interactions, Supersymmetry, Supergravity
Superstring theory unifies in a consistent way all up to now known fundamental interactions. In particular, it reconciles quantum mechanics and general relativity. Its domain of application is vast :
i) In the context of particle physics, it proposes possible extensions of the Standard Model. They often predict the existence of a new symmetry between particles called supersymmetry.
ii) In the context of cosmology, it is expected to help the understanding of the nature of the phenomena at the early times of the universe.
