Culture scientifique

  Mon collègue Marc Monticelli (CNRS, laboratoire J.A. Dieudonné, Nice) et moi-même maintenons une page web : Experimentarium Digitale. Cette page regroupe des expériences numériques interactives (en JavaScript) autour des systèmes dynamiques, des processus stochastiques, de la physique statistique, etc.

Nous avons écrit plusieurs textes disponibles en ligne avec des expériences numériques interactives :

 

Nous avons commencé une collection d'« ebooks génératifs » (format iOS, OSX Mavericks). Le premier concerne la théorie qualitative des équations différentielles et contient pas moins de 68 expériences numériques interactives. Vous pouvez voir une présentation vidéo de cet ebook.

Enseignement

Je suis professeur chargé de cours à temps partiel au Département de Mathématiques Appliquées de l'École polytechnique.

J'interviens en première année (petites classes du cours de tronc commun sur les Probabilités), en seconde année (petites classes du cours Chaînes de Markov et martingales en temps discret) et en troisième année (cours intitulé Modélisation mathématique en écologie).

Mon recueil d'exercices corrigés de probabilités de première année est disponible sur demande (220 pages actuellement).

J'ai également participé à l'élaboration d'un MOOC (ou FLOT) diffusé sur la plateforme Coursera : Aléatoire : une introduction aux probabilités (avec Sylvie Méléard et Carl Graham) [Partie 1 / Partie 2]


Thèses de doctorat en cours et achevées

  • Louis Mahé, thèse commencée en 2015. Thème : approximations déterministes de modèles aléatoires individus-centrés.
  • Etienne Adam, thèse soutenue le 1er juillet 2016, co-dirigée avec Vincent Bansaye : Persistance et vitesse d'extinction pour des modèles de populations stochastiques multitypes en temps discret. Situation actuelle : enseignant en classes préparatoires aux grandes écoles à compter du 1er septembre 2016 (lycée Paul Valéry, Paris 12ème arr.).
  • Cesar Maldonado (Mexicain), thèse soutenue en septembre 2012. Titre : On concentration, noise and entropy estimation in dynamical systems. Situation actuelle : poste permanent à l'IPICyT (San Lui Potosí, Mexique).
